Made in China?

If you hear someone saying that “BlackHawk Paramotors or Velocity Paragliders are made in China,” you might want to reconsider doing business with them. Here’s why:

This statement isn’t just false… It’s a giant “red flag” that the person you’re talking to may not have your best interest in mind. Velocity Paragliders are, and have always been made in SOUTH KOREA. That’s right! South Korea has a reputation similar to Japan when it comes to quality & ingenuity. Companies like LG and Samsung are located in South Korea – NOT China. When you are investing ten thousand dollars into a sport where safety is everything, dishonesty simply can’t be part of the equation! If someone is willing to lie to you about another brand, what else is false about their own products? Hmmmm.

We were saddened to hear that several of our customers were initially told by a competing Manufacturer’s Dealer that our products are “made in China.” They were not only confused, but alarmed that sales tactics like this are being used in this life-changing sport. Using fear or dishonesty to sell an aircraft is extremely irresponsible and downright dangerous.

So, let’s set the record straight! No parts are produced or use components that are manufactured in china (with the only exception of the tires on our LowBoy II quad). We strive to manufacture the highest quality product and we think we’ve done a darn good job of it too. We over-engineer and our quality control can be seen in every step of the manufacturing process. BlackHawk Paramotors USA stands behind our products with a 2 year factory defect warranty. We sell around the world (70% of our sales are international) and it just isn’t cost effective or good business to constantly ship replacement parts, so we do absolutely everything to make sure each unit leaves our facility in pristine condition.
